Just another day...
I woke up as the grand-nephew to a mafia chieftain.
It was just another bacon and eggs morning. Then it was shopping at the market.
We were trying to find fresh peyote buttons, or detergent.
We approached a young flared nostriled hispanic cashier.
Her face was open. Her hands were large. She said something but I was too focused on the faint moustache to care.
There were dark circles under eyes offset against pale skin. Her breath was moist, possibly in my mind only.
It was important to gauge the shape and size of her ass. I completed this.
I saw a spark an opening in her eyes. I was drawn in and would have gone back to her house.
Even if it smelled like some kind of soggy bean soup.
Even if it meant having to listen to her domineering sister-in-law I would have been willing to follow her home.
Later I had a lot of coffee and walked around electronic equipment.
If it became necessary we could become nomads, or vagrants in any case.
Sell the business and get a long distance vehicle.
We could get sick on cheap wine and junk food. There were always options.
Just have to see about the details of my dental plan first.
The chieftain was doggedly determined to get the acorn squash. I was but a pawn in the struggle.
It takes will to buy groceries. It is not for the faint of heart. I learned a lesson in will.
More shopping tommorow. Catch some of the game. Have a beer.
A corroded aluminum panel mottled with failed ideals and expectations.
I appreciate the organic beauty of it. The aesthetics of erosion and destruction are compelling.
The corruption of flesh is everywhere, everyday.
It's my tight hollow center -- the roaring furnace.
I'm watching planes take off from the tarmac.
The thundering white noise vibration keeps it all out.
I'm watching it all pass. It all passes.
Dregs of the past, brought up from memory's depths to disintegrate in the atmosphere of today.
Another day deciphering the spaces in time.
No more underwear. Have to do laundry tommorow morning.
